Life Insured By Chris (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides life insurance education, consultation, and brokerage services connecting consumers with insurance carriers and licensed agents. We receive personal information from customers, prospective customers, and business partners and are committed to protecting that information and respecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information through our websites, landing pages, forms, communications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), including marketing and lead generation activities.
We may provide additional privacy notices for specific products, services, or interactions where required. In the event of a conflict, those notices will control.

This category is treated as Sensitive Personal Information under applicable law. See Section 14 for your rights to limit its use. We collect this data only with your knowledge, solely to support insurance quoting and underwriting, and we are not a HIPAA-covered entity — health information you provide is protected under this Privacy Policy and applicable state insurance data-privacy laws, not HIPAA.
Financial & Insurance Data:
Income range, existing coverage, financial goals, and insurance needs.
Communications Data:
Messages, call recordings, SMS communications, chatbot interactions, and email correspondence.
Marketing Data:
Preferences for receiving marketing communications and engagement with ads or campaigns.
User-Generated Content:
Information you submit through forms, surveys, or reviews.
Other Information:
Any additional information you voluntarily provide.

4. Retention

- Generally: Contact Data, Application & Quote Data, and Communications Data are retained for up to 7 years after your last interaction to satisfy state insurance recordkeeping requirements. Marketing Data is retained until you opt out, plus a reasonable period to process that opt-out. Health & Lifestyle Data is retained only as long as needed for the underwriting/quoting purpose for which it was collected, and is deleted or de-identified thereafter unless a longer period is legally required.

- In the preceding 12 months, we have disclosed the categories above for business purposes, and have sold/shared Contact Data, Application & Quote Data, and Online Activity Data with marketing and advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share Health & Lifestyle Data for advertising purposes.

Our Service may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.
- In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected individuals and applicable regulators as required by state breach-notification laws.
10. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions.
- If you are located outside the United States, see Section 16 (International Users / GDPR) for the safeguards that apply to such transfers.
11. Children
Our services are not intended for individuals under 18.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 without opt-in consent as required by the CCPA. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. Parents/guardians may contact us to request removal.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date.

- Financial Privacy (GLBA): As a business handling nonpublic personal financial information in connection with insurance products, we maintain practices consistent with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act Privacy Rule, including providing this notice and honoring opt-out requests for sharing with nonaffiliated third parties for marketing purposes. - We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days, with a possible one-time 45-day extension where reasonably necessary.
15. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have similar rights to those described in Section 14, including the right to:

- Correct inaccuracies and request deletion

- Opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects

16. International Users (GDPR)
This Section applies only if you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland (“EEA/UK Users”). The Service is designed for U.S. residents; if you are an EEA/UK User and submit personal data to us, the following applies:
